CARDEN CONNECT VIDEO LIBRARY
WELCOME to the Carden Connect Video Library! This vieo library is truly wonderful because now you can practice outside the Studio with confidence in the instruction of what you actually want to be practicing. The movements themselves are wonderful, but they really are just the vehicle for you to practice “observing” and “creating”. You want to practice observing the tension or exertion in your movements, often felt as discomfort, and then PRACTICE changing the response with one of the cues such as ‘I am releasing’, or ‘I am connecting to my scoop’. The mission is to become more aware of your thoughts and your tension so you can create a lighter feeling as you move. Then you begin to realize the power of your thought as the energy that creates as opposed to the “contraction” of a muscle that is felt as exertion. This is BIG! THIS IS PROFOUND!
The Video library is sequenced to help you get the most out of the videos. Definitely listen to the instructional video first and often because it is the roadmap to your practice. The more you become familiar with the language, the more quickly you will reap the benefits.
The Videos are categorized not just by the particular type of movement, ie. mat, bosu, but also as an order where one may build on the other. If you are newer to these movements then I would suggest following the order of the videos. Once you become more accomplished then you can simply choose one that you feel will help you the most in that moment.
The meditations, however, certainly can be played any time and as often as you would like. A beautiful outcome would be to enjoy one video and one meditation in the morning and then one each in the evening before bed …every day. It is inaccurate to think that you will fatigue from the videos because you are already tired and this is another workout. As you know, this is all about letting go of the “working out” mentality and shifting to “connecting within”. You will sleep better and feel more energized and joyful when you awaken the next morning because of the practice you did the day before.
